Updates March 19 2013

hello! I havent posted in a while so I feel like I should.
this is : Guinevere van Seenus for Helmut Lang, circa 2001

found this photo while scrolling through Tumblr. I like the pale pink light on her face and how there's little hints of it in her ankles. and in the big block of black too now that I look at it. it looks like there's clouds and stars in there too! Fashion photography really is an art; I love studying it.

I've also gotten kinda into the magazine Vivre Paris
I really, really, really want to subscribe to it but seeing as i live across the globe, the subscription price is a little... well.. pricey. I'll ask my dad and see how that goes. Either way, I was reading a little bit of it on the website tonight and I like it. Also I'm actually kindof understanding the language as I read it (!!!) and I even force myself not to translate it into English in my head. it's actually been kinda fun. if any of you read it-- let me know if you like it or not!
well thats my daily update I guess. ILY all who have visited. I'll post again soon!

Job Description

when I become editor-in-chief of Harper's Bazaar, my first cover will be Sasha Pivovarova :
with a watery backdrop scene from Greece like this:

and then I will proceed to make Harper's Bazaar replace Vogue as the new fashion Bible.

Little Mermaid

Today I will give you an actual outfit post since really that is what my blog is supposed to be about.
I seriously wish I could pose somewhere other than in my bathroom with my digital camera but there weren't many options when I got home tonight from my friend's house. Either way, I really liked my outfit today because I felt like my skirt was so flattering and pretty. Literally this skirt is one of my favorite pieces, I got it on Black Friday 2011 for only 30 bucks. But the best part of my day was, I felt like a mermaid. I feel like I've always had a special connection to aquatic beautiful delicate things since I was a child. I always used to pretend I was a mermaid in my grandma's pool. The skirt was so tailored and flowwy and my hair was long and the green dye I put in months ago is still pretty bright. You can see it a bit in the first photo.
I'm wearing:
Hollister tee customized by myself (if you can see it in the back there's ribboning on framing the shoulder blades)(you can buy this pretty much anywhere so I'm not adding a link)
Alexa Chung for Madewell maxi skirt (similar)

Vive La America

hello! I haven't posted in a few days and I'm sorry about that. I've been a little busy, Sunday night was crazy with homework and Monday was well...Monday.
so this is a photo of me that I took that I really liked. The post is called Vive La America becasue I was actually wearing a tank top with an American Flag on it, which I took a picture of but decided not to post. Either way, let me try to make some connection to America with this photo. Maybe it shows that people who are free are not always completely free. They must keep part of them hidden sometimes.

shopping wishlist: summer-time

Summer is coming and the one thing that I know I need is a new bathing suit. I've been really into the ombre clothes trend for a while though the hair trend is really not good for me. This is the Lisa Maree Ombre Crochet One Piece, from Free People. totally buying when I get the chance. xx
